Cat Matson, Chief Digital Officer, City of Brisbane
Cat Matson is the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) for the City of Brisbane and is charged with the digital transformation of the city as a means of accelerating economic growth and equipping small-to-medium enterprises with the digital skills to accelerate their business.
As an experienced digital and startup strategist and respected business leader, Cat drives the Digital Brisbane strategy. The CDO delivers programs to improve digital uptake in the small and medium businesses, educates children on coding and supports startups and budding entrepreneurs, while also connecting visiting entrepreneurs with Brisbane’s business community.
Cat is a regular co-host of the internationally popular Social Media for Small Business podcast and is a regular panellist and moderator for key industry events.
She is a dot-connector, a banality-slayer, a myth-buster and is known for her straight-talking approach. She wishes someone would figure out reliable cloning technology so she could be in two places at once, or at least an app that would allow her to live-tweet an event while speaking at it.
